Lenovo S10 IdeaPad reviewed

PC Mag have done a review for Lenovo’s new umpc call the IdealPad S10.  It didn’t wow them too much.  I personally like the look of it, something to think about when I upgrade my EeePC 7″.  Check out the review here.

HTC Android phone: Dream

HTC is to launch their very first Android phone named “Dream” tomorrow (09/23/2008) at a New York Event.  T-mobile will be the lead carrier to sell this phone.  Looks promising, the software feels smooth and have alot of potential tho the Handset looks abit bulky.  I’ll probably wait abit longer before getting one of these babies.  Check out a demo here.

Slacker mp3 player, internet radio anyone?

Slacker don’t just make an mp3 player, it’s also wifi enabled to play internet radio.  The catch is that the stations are streamed from the slacker server but you can also create your personal station with your choice of music.  The stations you saved on to the player is also cached so when there’s no wifi it’ll still keep playing music.  There is a 4gb or 8gb version and can store enough music for many hours.  Check it out here.

Apple’s new range of Ipods are here

Apple have updated their entire range of ipod products starting with the shuffle, nano, touch and classic.  The ipod with the most change is the nano where it’s gone back to the long shape. Apparently many people didn’t like the little fatty, i personally thinks it’s ok.  It comes with an accelerometer so when tilted sideways would make it landscape mode.  Also, there’s this new cool feature where you shake the nano, it will shuffle to a new song.  The Touch now looks similar to the iphone 3G but with a chromed curved back, also there is now a build-in speaker with physical volume controls on the side.  You can also record voice as Apple have finally enabled Audio-in via the headphone jack.  Check it out here.

Dell’s UMPC: Inspiron Mini 9

Dell is the latest to join the now getting extremely crowded UMPC market with their inspiron mini 9.  All the basic features are there but their standard battery last for 4hrs.  9″ screen with loads of optional extras like bluetooth or upto 16Gb of SSD.  Ubuntu is optional as well, the standard is XP with SP3.  I still like the Lenovo Ideapad.  Check it out here.

Microsoft’s new commercial

I just saw Microsoft’s latest commercial, and to be honest, I don’t get it.  It wasn’t funny or to the point, in the end, I wasn’t sure what it was about.  Check it out yourself.

Google’s New Browser: Chrome

Google recently launch their new browser named “Chrome”.  It’s meant to be a faster more reliable browser.  I’ve downloaded and running it now, so far, it feels similar to firefox.  Will see what the benefits are as I use it more.
