The comeback handset Motorola is launching is called… Droid, or was it Droid “Does”, coz it’s meant to do everything the iphone can’t.  I played with one at the Verizon store and I must admit, the screen is gorgeous.  As I never owned an Android phone running 1.5, I couldn’t tell the difference with Version 2.0.  I did try out the free turn-by-turn navigation and it’s good enough I guess, still can’t beat a dedicated GPS unit.  Overall, the feel and look of it is great, abit too big for my taste but that’s the price you pay for a 4.1″ screen.  Check out the review by Engadget here.

Nokia have released their own version of the Netbook with the Booklet 3G.  This little device is well, like any other netbooks, does what other netbook does.  The only major difference is that it come with 3G support.  So you can  now stick your 3G SIM card in the booklet and hit the road.  I saw a demo unit at bestbuy and they do look very good, much thinner than other netbooks out there.  Overall, the design is very good but too expensive, well over the $400 mark.  Check out a review here.

Have you ever hold a TV antenna and gets the best signal until you let go.  Well, here’s a good idea, sit on a carpet that uses your body’s electrical resistance to receive TV signal.  Now, you no longer have to hold on to those rabbit ears, just site on your carpet.  Your TV will thank you for that.  Check it out here.

I always liked the original Zune, the only problem was I got myself an ipod touch.  Well, now that the Zune HD is out and my touch is 2yrs old.  Maybe it’s time for a switch.  I got to play with one at BestBuy, it’s very slick, the OLED screen is beautiful.  Mmm… candy.

Apple have updated their Ipod Nano line by including a build-in camera.  It not only takes photos but also shoots video at 640×480 running at 30fps.  I’m thinking the digital camera business is slowly heading out the door.  Why would I buy a camera when I can also have music with it.  the size hasn’t change much and cost is $149 for the 8Gb and $179 for the 16Gb.  Oh, it also comes with FM tuner (a tat late apple?), voice recorder and pedometer for the health freaks.  Nicely done Apple, why don’t you put those in the Ipod Touch huh???  Check it out here.

Engadget got their hands on a new phone from Palm named Pixi.  It runs WebOS  and comes with a full Qwerty keyboard.  Most of the features are there but no wi-fi, loks like Palm is gearing up again.  Ah, happy days ahead… Check it out here.

Finally, Sony has released their 1st netbook named the Vaio W.  It’s drop dead gorgeous I must say, comes with all the standard netbook trimmers but is a tat more expensive at $499.  Runs on Atom 280N, has a higher screen res at 1366×768, 802.1n wifi and bluetooth as standard.  Caught one in the wild and took a quick pic.  Very nice Sony, very nice.
