Well, all the rumors turns out to be true, the new iphone4 was the same leaked demo unit found 2 months ago. So what’s new with this iphone. Let’s see, we now have super high res screen (960×640), 5mb Camera with LED flash, front facing camera for video chat (aka Facetime) and a brand new design. Other than ios4, everything else remains the same. It’s all relative really, I like it because it’s got a better screen, ios4 seems alot more featured than iphone OS3. The video chat thingy is old news for me, as living in Oz, we had video chat on 3G since 2003, nothing new here. Still, it’s always great to see Apple do another version. Now wondering what would google do???
Was holidaying in hk and came across this little gem. HTC HD mini, all the goodies of the HTC HD but in a compact form factor. I can’t remember the specs and reviewing the photo can’t provide more details as the resolution is kinda poor to read the text. Anyhow, its out there now.
The comeback handset Motorola is launching is called… Droid, or was it Droid “Does”, coz it’s meant to do everything the iphone can’t. I played with one at the Verizon store and I must admit, the screen is gorgeous. As I never owned an Android phone running 1.5, I couldn’t tell the difference with Version 2.0. I did try out the free turn-by-turn navigation and it’s good enough I guess, still can’t beat a dedicated GPS unit. Overall, the feel and look of it is great, abit too big for my taste but that’s the price you pay for a 4.1″ screen. Check out the review by Engadget here.
Engadget got their hands on a new phone from Palm named Pixi. It runs WebOS and comes with a full Qwerty keyboard. Most of the features are there but no wi-fi, loks like Palm is gearing up again. Ah, happy days ahead… Check it out here.
HTC just announced today their 3rd Android handset named Hero. It’s similar looking to the HTC Dream or G2 but now it comes with customised UI like the TouchFlo UI seen on HTC WinMo devices. Check out the demo below, looking good mates.
Yes I know I’m abit late with this news so you should know by now that Apple have updated their iphone by adding a “S” to it. That’s all folks, good bye. Wait, that’s little bit more, the “S” stands for “Speed” as its supposed to be twice as fast. Now, it comes with digital compass and you can even send MMS and record video, whoop-pee-doo. Just like my trusty old N95 which I got back in 2007. Welcome to the party Apple iphone. Meh, I’m not impressed, gimme the Palm Pre anytime.

Engadget has some news of Palm’s next mobile handset (codenamed Eos) going to AT&T running WebOS. The specs looks fairly decent with most features but no wi-fi. It has a smaller screen at 2.6″ and full qwerty keyboard. I wish the screen was bigger tho, maybe at 3″, that should be perfect. Check it out here.
