New ipods all across the board

Today Apple announced their new range of ipods, from the shuffles to the nano to the touch.  Starting from the shuffle, which used to look like a stick of gum now goes back 1 generation with buttons.  I guess the people have spoken, they want buttons, nothing special there.  The nano on the other hand is brand new with a multi-touch screen and a smaller form factor.  Also known as the mini-me of the touch.  Personally, I probably will give that a miss and I much prefer the previous version as it has a larger screen and camera.  Lastly the new touch, this is by far the best iteration of the multi-touch device.  It now supports the retina screen like the iphone4 and also have the front & back cameras.  Facetime is now possible via wifi and runs the A4 processor too.  I have been hanging out on this as I was thinking of either getting the iphone4 or wait to see that the new touch was like.  I’m glad it went my way, I’m happy now.  Check out all the features here.

Ipod Nano, now with Camera

Apple have updated their Ipod Nano line by including a build-in camera.  It not only takes photos but also shoots video at 640×480 running at 30fps.  I’m thinking the digital camera business is slowly heading out the door.  Why would I buy a camera when I can also have music with it.  the size hasn’t change much and cost is $149 for the 8Gb and $179 for the 16Gb.  Oh, it also comes with FM tuner (a tat late apple?), voice recorder and pedometer for the health freaks.  Nicely done Apple, why don’t you put those in the Ipod Touch huh???  Check it out here.

Apple’s new range of Ipods are here

Apple have updated their entire range of ipod products starting with the shuffle, nano, touch and classic.  The ipod with the most change is the nano where it’s gone back to the long shape. Apparently many people didn’t like the little fatty, i personally thinks it’s ok.  It comes with an accelerometer so when tilted sideways would make it landscape mode.  Also, there’s this new cool feature where you shake the nano, it will shuffle to a new song.  The Touch now looks similar to the iphone 3G but with a chromed curved back, also there is now a build-in speaker with physical volume controls on the side.  You can also record voice as Apple have finally enabled Audio-in via the headphone jack.  Check it out here.
